Pros
I enjoy most of my interaction with customers in their homes and the pay is decent. You get a company car and okay benefits
Cons
Working hours are often quite long. My typical day is at least 12 hours, and sometimes as much as 16 hours a day. Every service call or installation is a "special case" that requires problem solving and trouble shooting. Managers are lazy and don't help. The technology is constantly being updated. Software updates. Hardware updates. Legacy equipment. Partially legacy equipment. Failed software updates... Weather up here in NY sucks, so installations can happen in the rain, snow, heat, and cold. This has not been a fun job.
