Last worked nov 2020 They hired three big classes a year prior to the full merger with telus knowing that telus would want to aquire tje company not the workers as they already had alarm force and overseas agents which is cheaper for them and then laid everyone off approx a week to a month before their one year to force people taking the inflated severance with non-compete right during covid lockdowns leaving minimal options for work but the alternative is worse "In Canada, the standard severance for termination without cause is generally one week of pay for each year of employment" so you'd get nothing if you didnt sign
