Pros

Good pay and benefits. Nice location. Loss Control seems like it's managed well.

Cons

The training in AST is inadequate. Everyone has a different way of doing certain tasks. This is basically a call center and the stress level is high. Keeping up with the paperwork and calls is a challenge. Staff are expected to be almost perfect despite being pulled in different directions daily. They work very hard but the stress gets to a lot of them. The outlook of the bail industry isn't positive and only adds to everyone's worries. The manager has a lot of knowledge but the training and follow-up leave a lot to be desired. Fulfillment, processing and imaging are managed by one person. He's been there for years but has a lack of knowledge about how the company's system works for his departments and how to do the job duties of the people he manages. He leans on his staff too much for knowledge he should already possess. Recent turnover under his management has been very high. One story I heard about him was how he purposely skipped meetings with the director of agent services. She hardly came to this location but he'd leave the office so he wouldn't have to meet with her because he doesn't like her. Allegedly. That's not a good manager to me. I only recommend working here if you plan to job hop. Bail is a dying industry.
