Pros
The job itself is straightforward and easy and very rarely do you bring stress home. The colleagues I worked with were friendly and supportive, and there was a good team atmosphere amongst many of the advisors. You do get a lot of support from a senior advisor who is a credit to the company.
Cons
In my experience, the management style was heavily focused on micromanagement, which made it difficult to feel trusted and autonomous in the role. Communication could often come across as condescending rather than supportive, and there appeared to be inconsistencies in how different employees were managed and supported. The environment felt quite political at times, with a lot of workplace drama and gossip. Having worked across multiple industries over the last five years, this was one of the more challenging workplace cultures I have experienced.
