Awful culture - Finance Controller Abbott Employee Review

Pros

The pay, particularly bonus and RSUs at the more senior levels.

Cons

ADC has a horrible, bullying - even cruel - culture, where anyone who challenges authority, or is deemed to have contributed to an issue that prevents senior management from making bonus, is kicked out. Years of loyal service can suddenly mean nothing. A spineless HR function does nothing to stop this. There's a clique of senior managers who look to take the credit for everything and blame for nothing. In addition, the work is relentlessly tedious, driven by fire drills from senior management, and often low value add, and job cuts, to drive profit, have increased the workload to the extent a sensible work life balance is impossible. There's very little career development other than on the job training. Other than this, a great place to work.
