Pros
Making the lives of healthcare providers and patients better is a worthy mission. Actually improving documentation burdens and increasing face to face time with patients can have a positive impact. Just like every company, there are some truly wonderful people here. I will miss those people and they deserve all of the success in the world!
Cons
My experience was concerning. After a required trip to New Orleans where the noise and drinking was unbearable for me and causing me severe sleep deprivation, I let the company know I had to leave a day early for health reasons. I reached out to the company to let them know of a medical diagnosis that made this experience particularly distressing and unhealthy for me. They assured me this would be handled according to standard employment law and practices but there was never any further follow up on it. I tried scheduling meetings with my supervisors for over a month to get clear expectations and make sure the working environment would improve but they kept cancelling. I had no clear expectations for my role, I was being excluded from meetings and was objectively and clearly being treated differently than other people with the same title and role. I had wonderful relationships with my coworkers and other areas of the company but for some reason my specific reporting chain seemed to want me excluded and gone. After over a month of trying to have a conversation with my reporting chain around reasonable accommodations, including clarity of role, expectations for my role, etc. They continually cancelled our scheduled meetings, sending me messages at 2 or 3 am the night before, until I finally gave up and submitted my resignation. This is the experience you can expect if you end up in the wrong part of the company. Pay attention to red flags during your interview process. I certainly noticed them (one person showed up 30 minutes late to a 30 minute in-person interview). Listen to your gut when you have significant concerns. They are valid. When you read other reviews that are "positive" and about how working here is "intense", "not for everyone", "doesn't tolerate even an A- player", and "no ego" think seriously about what these things really mean about the culture.
