Pros
very challenging work. Everyone is so supportive and is willing to give feedback and advice to help you better yourself as an educator. The kids work as hard as the staff; so, everyone has the same amount of work and sweat to put in and it is definitely rewarding when the outcomes are more than expected. You never stop learning and that is a big plus in my book :)
Cons
It is extremely hard to have a personal life outside of work as you are tempted to bring work home and the days are very long; so, expect to be fulfilled but tired at the end of the week. Prep time becomes meeting times for the majority of each month so you have sometimes bring work home for this reason as well. This could also be because my school is short staffed so we find time where we can...
