Pros

- Some really intelligent folks working here (less by the day) - Everyone pulls together to make it ‘work’ - Ability to work from home (if you like that)

Cons

- The HQ here in Oxford is being shut down, it’s now like a ghost town - Customer facing teams will almost be non-existent (from more than a dozen Account Managers to less than 5), morale is incredibly low - The acquisition has led to large scale attrition, a high number of redundancies are in progress (>30%) and anyone with logic is currently leaving for better opportunities - The majority of leadership and senior staff left the company and new leadership (at all levels) is being picked from inexperienced 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice remainers - Upland has no understanding of the email marketing industry, what makes a successful ESP or what skills they need to make it work - The award-winning care and culture are dead, Upland has removed the core reason that customers loved Adestra. Expect huge retention problems in the near future - Poor salary for the sector, with benefits almost non-existent

Pros

Great company culture and “family”vibe. Gain an unreal amount of knowledge from industry titans that have been in the industry for 15 plus years, so it sets you up for a great future at other companies!

Cons

If you’re looking for a solid paying sales job.. TURN THE OTHER WAY. The commission for “opportunities” created is the same no matter the size of client. And the dollar amount for them is the lowest in the industry. Need way more of an incentive to sell other than the tiny amount given! New management over inside sale team is extremely un needed. They micro manage and don’t think the workers that have been there are competent workers that don’t know anything about the industry. As well as treating them like adults and not children.
