Managers back other managers, not interested in developing colleagues. My group has mid-year reviews now. What’s the point? Reviews are based on team politics. Managers refuse to consider process improvements. They think because something’s been done the same way for 10 years, there’s nothing to improve. If that were the case, the process wouldn’t have numerous defects after 10 years. Currently offering big bonuses if someone you recommend gets hired for the Workday group. Why not train from within? There’s no way it would cost the company $6,000 to train me on Workday.
