Pros
Surrounded by great diversity in every sense, humanitarian professionals both paid and volunteer and high expectations in every aspect. Personal integrity, perseverence and adjusting on-the-go keep one agile and effective. The scope of the organization offers many opportunities for both lateral and upward movement.
Cons
No longer has retirement system for incoming staff. Cumbersome upper-level management hierarchy, especially in the field locations. While improvements have been made in technology and system platforms to support back office functions, there is still room to improve.
