Pros

Absolutely none, honestly none - it’s so bad - it’s such a shame that there is no option to rate this business with no stars. One is far too many to give it

Cons

It’s called Angela Mortimer but you never meet or see her, it is run by her ex-husband who is now in his eighties and still rules with an iron fist. It’s the most toxic, fear inducing environment. John Mortimer is without doubt the most unpleasant man. He rules by fear, he intimidates everyone in his wake. No one escapes his wrath, he even belittles his girlfriend in front of everyone. It’s hard to believe that a work environment like this exists in 2023. No one’s job is safe, he sacks people as and when he feels like it. Please do not work there. Don’t ignore these reviews- he will tell you they are fake. They really really are not. It’s awful. People are in floods of tears most days.

Pros

-Meet some good people I worked with. - My bad experience of working there taught me great life lessons and prompted me to take risks and do things I enjoy doing

Cons

- I was hired to help push the company towards modernising itself to appeal to the digital age we live in. Most of my thoughts and ideas were mostly ignored and then I was asked to do things that we not initially in my job description. - Blame culture: At points, I was expected to do things that were not in my job description, and it was frowned upon when I objected to do things I wasn't comfortable doing. It's almost as though they want to extract everything out of you, and have the mentality that if you don't work extra hours, they will replace you with someone who is desperate for work. - When I worked there, I saw many people come and go within 6 months... retention of the workforce is poor, and that is reflective in the environment. - Most people who worked there seemed to be stressed and close to breaking point....not a good environment for productivity. My advice to anyone who decides to work there is to look for options elsewhere too...unless they have drastically changed their culture, I'd steer clear of the place if you want to love the job you do. I have nothing against the company, just speaking truthfully on my experience of the place.
