Pros

Was given an assignment soon after signing up. "May" appeared to be sincerely interested in me and placing me in a suitable position.

Cons

When I was placed on my temp assignment, "May" and I agreed this would be a way to earn income while looking for a direct hire position. The stated length of the assignment was three months. I accepted the assignment on those terms. Near the end of the three-month period, I contacted May to inquire about a direct hire position. May told me that I had to work a certain number of hours to be considered for a direct hire placement. This was not disclosed when my temp assignment started. I continued to work at the assignment because I enjoyed working with my manager and he valued me as well. May did not maintain any kind of contact with me during my assignment to see how I was doing. I thought this strange, but figured she must be busy. I contacted May again when I saw a couple of direct hire opportunities of interest on Apple One's website. May told I could not be considered for a position with another employer unless my assignment ended - either by the client or by me. She said her hands were tied. This also was not disclosed to me prior. I felt a loyalty to May because of the way our relationship started and did everything I could to continue to use Apple One. And so, I asked her if it would be OK to escalate my request up the company ladder a notch. She agreed. I received a favorable response from the then branch manager, but then nothing. I later found out that she left the company; apparently the candidates she was working with fell through the cracks. I also reached out to the regional manager, who forwarded my emails to May, who replied to me, stating I didn’t need to contact the regional manager. May said she would get me in contact with another recruiter at the office but I never heard from that person. Apple One received income for every hour I worked. I am astonished they would have such utter disregard for the talent that provides *their* income!

Pros

Recruiters are responsive and willing to help you find work. Alot of direct hire opportunities with decent companies.

Cons

Depending on what you are looking for, options may be low. That's not any fault to the agency they only have availability based upon the clients need.

Pros

There are absolutely zero redeeming qualities.

Cons

Recruiters actively use biased, coded language to gatekeep candidates. They lack basic professional standards, ghosted me for weeks, and minimized my professional history.
