GREAT people, OK product, QUESTIONABLE CEO - Product Manager Apptentive Employee Review

- This company has an incredibly special culture that actually embodies the values it preaches every day - A fun team that's passionate about the product and the customers - Lots of flexibility and autonomy to get the job done

- Acquired by a dumpster fire, no longer exists

I really enjoy working here - I've been given multiple opportunities over 2 years to showcase, as well as grow, my skillset. I've been pushed to new bounds and never punished for my mistakes. Weirdly, I've noticed that micro-managing is almost non-existent across most departments and testing yourself/failing/learning/repeat is truly supported- never experienced that before or seen it on such a large scale. The CEO is one of the most authentically caring people I've ever met, let alone work with. His vision is spot on as well. He is human and not perfect, but he has what it takes to get us there. I truly care about all of my teammates - good people work here, which is indicative of the mission. Benefits are solid and Apptentive wants to take care of its people. There is major effort made to increase diversity internally, as well as externally. Whatever your belief in that regard at least we've created an open/respectful dialogue to talk/debate about it.

I'd like to see our product and commercial teams growing at the same rate - that is my concern, but we'll get there. Joining this team means working really hard to get us to the next phase and so you really 'really' need to get onboard with what Robi and Leadership want to achieve.
