Pros

Small plant. So somewhat laid back compared to larger plants.

Cons

All of upper management is incompetent. Some of which have made major mistakes multiple times. Most of these mistakes operations warned them that the mistakes would happen but management ordered them to do it anyways. It has amazed all of maintenance and operations that these people in management get to keep their jobs. Their poor management has led to decreased productivity and increased cost of production. They look to blame maintenance and operations for this instead of taking accountability for their own actions/decisions.

Pros

Steady paycheck. Decent benefits. Good diversity. Many people are exceptionally skilled at what they do. Some really good middle-level managers.

Cons

Has gone downhill since I've started here. This company has good roots, but over the past couple of years it has taken a lot of mental gymnastics to keep up with all of the changes in upper management. There's been high turnover rates in plant operations, mass department layoffs and "consolidations" that leaves many feeling insecure. Most are required to shoulder the work of many roles for no increase in pay. The now skeletonized staffing also appears to affect safety culture in a negative way.
