Pros
Excellent opportunity to observe what it means to manage upwards Some very good and very loyal employees at the lower levels
Cons
Senior ranks are more or less a plethora of self promoting politicians with little or no appreciation for the people doing the work. Employees with long tenure as the least valued. There is an interesting dynamic where US/NA employees consistently are pushed to work very hard and offshore employees consistently are given uninteresting work and report that they have great work life balance (i.e. they do not feel they need to work very hard).
