Great Company, few bad apples - Drilling Engineer BHP Employee Review

The onshore Petroleum sector was mismanaged. Too much red tape, paperwork and lack of responsibility caused a drop in employee morale and performance. The large acquisitions made by management in the North American shale were over priced and operating costs were over the roof but the big dogs always beat their chest over small pseudo victories that did never reflect on the bottomline. BHP went from being the 3rd richest company (in cash) to somewhere beyond top 50 in just a matter of few years. Disappointing!
