Pros
Over decades, Battelle earned a solid reputation for providing thoughtful and creative problem solving to the most challenging problems of national significance. They attracted and retained fantastic employees across many different scientific domain areas, and the cross-disciplinary problem solving capabilities were (at one time) world class.
Cons
Recent changes to leadership have led to Battelle losing sight of its mission, and its value proposition. They value the bottom line financials above their loyal and talented employees - and many of the best/brightest scientific and people leaders have either left voluntarily, or have had their positions eliminated.
