Pros

hmmmmm... this is a hard one. The education department is really good, they prepare you very well for your cnim.

Cons

First off, anyone he has a positive review on here works in the main office in Ann Arbor. They have pretty much normal schedules and go to the same place everyday. *Heres an example of a typical work day at biotronic. You will get your schedule 6pm the night before. It will change frequently after that. Yesterday I woke up at 3am, left at 3:30 to drive 3 hours to a hospital, worked a 6 hours, drove back 3 hours then was asked to do a case about an hour from my home that didnt start till 7pm. I was finished with my day at 11pm. This is a normal day with biotronic. *You will be asked to sign a 2 year contract along with a non compete. If you break these contracts you will owe over $20k(no joke!). Biotronic forces employees to sign the contract, if they didnt 90% of the employees would leave. * You were extremely long hours, you will get no food or break! Ive done 14-16hour cases with no breaks. * Biotronic sets you up to fail with surgeons, I work with a different surgeon everyday of the week. As for "sales" , this is def not a sales job. *Travel-1, you dont get paid per hour when you travel. I drive over 14hrs a week sometimes more and sometimes less, you don't get paid for those hours. You will get mileage, it doesn't even come close to covering the amount of time you spend in your time and the depreciation value of your car. 2, biotronic will send you an email ALWAYS the day before, usually after 4pm if you can jump on a flight or drive to another state for a case the next morning. You will have zero notice. I could go on and on with details about this job but I wont. Basically I really regret this taking this job. It requires all of your life, you will spend all your free time worrying about where they will send you on travel, the first year I did nothing but study study study. They treat you like your in medschool instead of a job. And thats why they hire new grads cuz they think new grads dont know any better! I strongly encourage you to find an employee on linken or facebook and ask them there experience! PS: other companies offer about two to three times the salary biotronic does!!!!

Pros

The job is interesting and Biotronic has some of the best training in the nation. Going to different hospitals allows you to see many different kinds of surgeries and meet many new people.

Cons

No breaks. Going to the bathroom and eating isn't possible because there is rarely anyone to give you a break. Management is disconnected and more concerned about making money than the well being of their employees. They are not easy to work with on getting time to go to doctor's or dentist appointments, instead you have to take your own vacation time. They will force you to move when you first start, and not really care what harm they cause your life by doing so. Gossip is rampant. OR conditions are sometimes terrible. Surgeons and staff will yell at you and treat you like crap and since you are a vendor there is nothing you can do. You must have a thick skin for this job. Hours are chaotic, and you give up being able to make plans at all because you will be cancelling them so frequently. The turn over rate is very high because employee satisfaction is extremely low. This company will straight forward tell you that they cost the most in the industry, but yet the employees are some of the least paid in the industry.
