Pros

Good place to make a good salary based on your own efforts in a fairly fast track. Lots of good experience and relationships with hospital personnel formed. High turnover, so usually room to move to management, especially if you are willing to relocate. Very good education and training program. Good benefits. Good reputation with most clients (because they will do anything at the expense of their employees) and because most of the bottom tier employees are excellent workers and great people and that's who the clients interact with.

Cons

Terrible company to work for if you have a family. They will not compromise or change your work schedule to help you fulfill your duties at home. Many long days with no breaks for bathroom or food (nearly impossible for nursing mothers). Administration is unprofessional and gossips (who is getting fired, who had an issue at so-and-so hospital, who has personal issues at home, etc) to all tiers of employees about other employees. They only care about the bottom-line and have no regard for employee satisfaction. They would rather force someone to drive 4hrs in the middle of the night than to turn away extreme requests from clients. They provide no support or training for managers. They provide no encouragement or feedback for managers. Managers rarely know where they stand or how good/bad of a job they're doing. Admin frequently undermines management's authority by dealing directly with a lower level employee complaint without asking for management's side of the story or the reason behind the decision that drew the complaint. Biotronic understaffs or staffs just enough so that employees are almost always stretched too thin and overworked. Biotronic promotes people without removing some of their lower job responsibilities so that top tier employees are doing all the same jobs as low tier employees along with all of their other responsibilities. They will load them with as many responsibilities as possible so they don't have to replace them when they promote them. Essentially, they are cheap. They are untrustworthy - you can never be sure that they will follow through with what they say they will do. The non-compete is over-reaching and quite frankly, ridiculous. Admin has no problem telling you that they know the economy is bad and you are replaceable, so if you don't want to complete said ridiculous assignment, they are sure someone else would be happy to take your place. They take advantage of people because of the poor economy. Some of their veteran top-tier employees are just not good people.

Pros

hmmmmm... this is a hard one. The education department is really good, they prepare you very well for your cnim.

Cons

First off, anyone he has a positive review on here works in the main office in Ann Arbor. They have pretty much normal schedules and go to the same place everyday. *Heres an example of a typical work day at biotronic. You will get your schedule 6pm the night before. It will change frequently after that. Yesterday I woke up at 3am, left at 3:30 to drive 3 hours to a hospital, worked a 6 hours, drove back 3 hours then was asked to do a case about an hour from my home that didnt start till 7pm. I was finished with my day at 11pm. This is a normal day with biotronic. *You will be asked to sign a 2 year contract along with a non compete. If you break these contracts you will owe over $20k(no joke!). Biotronic forces employees to sign the contract, if they didnt 90% of the employees would leave. * You were extremely long hours, you will get no food or break! Ive done 14-16hour cases with no breaks. * Biotronic sets you up to fail with surgeons, I work with a different surgeon everyday of the week. As for "sales" , this is def not a sales job. *Travel-1, you dont get paid per hour when you travel. I drive over 14hrs a week sometimes more and sometimes less, you don't get paid for those hours. You will get mileage, it doesn't even come close to covering the amount of time you spend in your time and the depreciation value of your car. 2, biotronic will send you an email ALWAYS the day before, usually after 4pm if you can jump on a flight or drive to another state for a case the next morning. You will have zero notice. I could go on and on with details about this job but I wont. Basically I really regret this taking this job. It requires all of your life, you will spend all your free time worrying about where they will send you on travel, the first year I did nothing but study study study. They treat you like your in medschool instead of a job. And thats why they hire new grads cuz they think new grads dont know any better! I strongly encourage you to find an employee on linken or facebook and ask them there experience! PS: other companies offer about two to three times the salary biotronic does!!!!
