Pros
Having a trauma bond with your colleagues. Knowing you was not alone in this toxic environment. Oh and the free bagels
Cons
It’s hard to know where to start. Management at this company seems more interested in appearing “cool” than actually leading. They project their own dissatisfaction with life onto staff by belittling them, trying to assert authority instead of offering support. We’re encouraged to “think independently” and “be creative,” but any attempt to do so is shut down with criticism or outright verbal abuse. Incentives and morale boosters are often promised but never delivered. KPIs are unrealistic, and the level of micromanagement is extreme—so much so that I often felt anxious just walking out of the bathroom. Staff turnover is through the roof, yet no meaningful changes are ever made. One of the company’s mottos is “nothing changes if nothing changes,” but clearly, they’ve taken that literally. As a woman, I found the environment especially uncomfortable. It’s deeply misogynistic, and the only women in real leadership roles are all family members of the CEO. When I finally chose to leave, they suddenly offered me more money and the higher role I had already expressed interest in—too little, too late. If you’re looking for a place that values actual performance and growth, rather than popularity with upper management, I’d strongly recommend staying away.
