Where to start ....... They will do everything they can to disguise the fact that the only real function of this job is to sell short-term vacations at a heavy discount so that the customer has to sit through a timeshare presentation. That is the only function of this job, make no mistake about that. People will ask if it's about a timeshare when you pitch them, and legally they have to disclose it, but they do everything they can to bury that information. It's a single, short line in their script that you are trained to breeze over. They deliberately avoid talking about it in any sort of detail. You are on your feet the entire shift. Weekends are a must They expect you to flag down EVERYONE who walks by. This is not a "sales professional" position, they expect you to turn and burn. Your floor manager will call you out for letting people walk by - doesn't matter if they look homeless, they want you to pitch to everybody. I want to equate it to hawking games at a county fair. The turnover rate for floor sales staff is very high. They will hire multiple people for the same position knowing there's going to be turnover. The script, that you are required to stick to, is horrible. It's deliberately misleading and they bury the verbiage about the timeshares as far as they are legally allowed to.
