I was part of the layoff but I will try to keep it honest even though it hit me by surprise! (I put 1 star as global rating instead of 3 because Branch asks their current employees to put 5 stars on Glassdoor to increase the ranking and does not reflect reality...)
Work/life
Forget about work/life balance.
Less PTO than the average national...
Will be asked to work during your holidays
Politics:
Management changed and became agressive. Heard so many time "you will loose your job if you do not perform". Result: performing will not help you to keep your job, politics will.
Branch preferred keeping employees on probation than keeping good performers!
There is no transparency (CEO told us to not to worry 2 weeks before the layoff) There is a serious lack of emotional intelligence from the top management. One month salary + 2/3 years old macbook is not an exit package! Look at other companies in the industry.
On top of that reading some of your comments here about rehiring employees later .... Seriously?!?!
Be aware that you can switch from superstar; earning awards to rotten fish really quickly !
And also in terms of strategy - zero commitment to goals. Only constant change of priorities. Which make everyone scramble to achieve all the time.
