Pros
Wages guaranteed every week. Modern fleet of vehicles and strong unions. Good perks like free travel and subsidised GP. Good pension and ongoing annual training for drivers
Cons
The most institutionalised, broken, insolvent and fragmented company in the entire country. Absolutely inept and incompetent management at the very top. Blind eye, fingers in ears, see no evil hear no evil attitude and a workplace culture to match. If you wantnto work here then you have to learn how to play the game and become part of the collective. The place will make you institutionalised. This is not the place for critical thinkers. No consistency whatsoever amongst different departments or across staff grades. Each depot does things very differently to others. The inmates literally run the asylum depending on where they're based. The company certainly isn't run for the benefit of customers. Cronyism is rampant in the place. Jobs for the boys no matter how qualified or experienced other candidates are. Someone in a supervisor/manager role always has a husband/wife/son/daughter/brother/sister somewhere in the place. Proactive responsibility/ blame shifting and a total lack of personal responsibility for one's own work is the order of the day. Anyone who dares speak up and raise their concerns is treated as a troublemaker and someone to be ridiculed. Glad I am out of the place
