Pros
The technology was interesting and the work felt important.
Cons
My manager would badmouth my coworkers to me. This made me wonder what they were saying about me when I wasn't around. The workload was too high to help anyone who was having a hard time. Kind and intelligent people were laid off or had their contracts ended because they did not produce quickly enough, often due to circumstances beyond their control. You needed to get lucky right at the start with a good trainer and training project. Complaints about inappropriate behaviours did not seem to be taken seriously by management. People could get away with anything as long as they continued to perform. No work-life balance, you were expected to be available for dayshift, nightshift, travel, etc.
