Pros

Retail reps work with no boss looking over them, but this requires self discipline. Its the easiest job you'll ever have. Lots of food on the Sams teams, you talk to people all day while feeding them.

Cons

People gossip, talk about each other, Favoritism runs abound. Certain people get away with murder while others are written up for the slightest infraction. Moral is low, we are always being counseled as a group and threatened to be fired, when its only a few that cause most of the problems. And since nothing ever happens these threats mean nothing. The same old problems go on and on and on. The dist super has a poor attitude, claims there is an open door policy yet has closed the door to certain comments and will not hear the truth. The RSE puts up a front to make it look like a good job when in reality its not. The RSE is the boss for Sams teams, this job is basically unsupervised and unqualified, irresponsible people are hired in these spots. Personal feelings and unprofessional behavior is always present. If the RSE likes you, you will be fine, if not you may find you don't get any hours or picked on.

Cons

an honest example of your day, we will pay you for 15 minutes to run up to a Walmart. For that 15 minutes we will expect you to read instructions for any new changes, run in and check in with a manager, find our product, count our products exactly, go to the back room and find our products (which is by far the longest step), count our products in the back exactly, bring our products to the front of the store, take pictures and answer questions, remove all old products, stock by date, take pictures and answer questions. If this takes you 25-30 minutes, which is probably a more accurate accounting, we will still only pay you for 15. If you are lucky there may be another job that day, but if not you will be expected to waste your gas, drive to the Walmart that we demanded, and work that 15 minute job alone. In that case we will be demanding that you take an hour out of your day for $3.00.
