Pros

I have been at Calix for 6 years and it has been a tremendous experience. Calix empowers their employees to be the ones coming up with solutions for challenges so individuals can grow and feel really engaged. I have been able to be part of a great team with the support of my leader that has enabled us to have an outstanding accounting organization. Each day brings different challenges that keep things exciting and the day moving fast. Our product portfolio continues to be best in class between our internal development and partnerships. Collaboration is very strong across our various functions. I enjoy the opportunity to work with groups outside of the Finance team to help Calix reach its objectives. Our benefits and bonus plan are strong. Also the flexibility employees have with the remote working environment in the United States is a huge perk. Overall I feel motivated each day when I begin my work day and look forward to both Calix's continued success and my growth in the future.

Cons

Being 100% remote is an overall positive but it has changed the work day. In the past we were west-coast based so the day was based on the Pacific time zone and the Noon hour was left open. Now being remote and having people across the US meetings are scheduled early in the day as well as during the lunch hour. This at times causes short lunch breaks and challenges but overall I still prefer this versus than being required to come into the office.
