Pros
I have been here just over a year now and I can say this is by far the best company I worked for. Benefits package is great. My co workers are awesome. We have potlucks and go bowling every now and again. I think the pay is fair. Break rooms are clean, during lunch it's quiet enough for me to relax and enjoy my meal. We all help each other out on my shift. Good coffee too. The Cascade Way might work, if everyone will just buy into it. I believe it.
Cons
The leadership team on my shift could use some help. It's almost like a dictatorship, when something doesn't look right, boy we'd be hearing it from the barge all the way to our line across the plant. A very loud high pitch voice calling you out on a simple mistake in front of everyone. The first time I got yelled at I thought I did something really bad or harmful to a coworker but it was just a missed label on a box. they also have their favorites, I have asked many times for opportunities to learn other things but because I don't go and shoot the crap and laugh with them on the barge I won't ever get the chance to, and also maybe because I am pretty high up there in age, but I am okay with that. I don't need to be or want to be buddy buddy with my boss for a promotion, and I am fine with what I do. We had a kid run the shift once and I thought he was the calmest most fair supervisor during his time here.
