Working at this company has been one of the most frustrating and demoralizing experiences of my career. The biggest issue is the complete imbalance of power—HR holds all the authority, and it’s very clear that the rules simply do not apply to them. Policies seem to exist only for engineers, while HR operates without accountability. Engineers here are not treated like professionals but more like factory workers—expected to produce nonstop, with little regard for well-being, growth, or even basic respect. There’s a constant sense that you’re easily replaceable, and management does nothing to challenge that culture. Concerns raised by employees are often ignored or redirected through HR, where they conveniently disappear. Instead of advocating for employees, HR acts as a shield for the company, reinforcing policies that benefit leadership while disregarding the people actually doing the work. There is little transparency, inconsistent enforcement of rules, and a clear lack of fairness across the board. If you’re looking for a supportive environment where your voice matters and your contributions are valued, this is not the place. Overall, this company needs a serious cultural reset—starting with accountability for HR and a fundamental shift in how engineers are treated. The hybrid policy is forced upon the engineers whereas the same is not applicable or is not that important for the HR The engineers need to ask the company if they are about to get a side job so the company approved but at the same time the CHRO was able to launch his own product. So make it make sense? There is no reason to work hard in this company you won't be getting any promotions at all.

Our HR function operates in full alignment with company policies and expectations. In fact, due to the nature of our roles, the majority of the HR team is present 5 days a week in the office, beyond the standard hybrid requirement. This is a conscious effort to support the business and our employees effectively. Regarding the comment about external business activities, we maintain a clear and transparent policy. Employees are permitted to engage in side projects or part-time work, provided these do not conflict with the company’s interests or impact their performance. All such activities must be declared and approved to ensure there is no conflict of interest and to avoid any misunderstanding. In the specific case mentioned, the CHRO’s external involvement was fully disclosed, reviewed, and approved in advance, in line with company governance. We remain committed to transparency, fairness, and maintaining a professional working environment for all employees. Should you have any concerns or questions, I encourage you to raise them directly so they can be addressed constructively. Open dialogue is always preferred to avoid the spread of misinformation. Casumo has an ultra fun, vibey and creative brand and it is supported by creating the same culture in the workplace and teams. The industry focus is consistently sharp and we are always working on being the best, so it is an awesome place to grow and shine. The tech is leading edge and teams are super collaborative, innovation is everywhere and everyone's contribution is valued. Management work side-by-side with you so there are no hierarchical barriers. We have the coolest offices for those who choose to / are able work from there - in Malta we have a whole floor for great food (in house chef) and chill-axing and regular social events. A super place to grow - studying and experience exposure is always encouraged. Lots of internal growth opportunities as there is a big focus on personal development.

Shew, I really cannot think of any con's - I have been super happy here since joining 3.5 years ago :)
