Thank you for providing a review of CMB. I’m glad that you are encouraged by the ability to learn and grow, the flexibility of working here and the possibility of promotion.
It is true that we hire many people to our Associate Researcher role straight out of undergrad and as a first job in their career, provide a lot of formal training. For most higher level positions, the training may not be as formalized as the AR program but is certainly there through a combination of outside seminars which we are often sending our employees to, peer mentoring as well as our recurring CMB University sessions that typically occur 3-4 times a month on average.
We use “CMBUs” as a way to provide training and learning opportunities for all of our employees through successful case-study diagnosis, expert discussions and formal instruction presentations. We highly encourage employees at all levels to attend as many of these sessions as possible. If you don’t attend, then you may be missing out on impactful information and useful discussion.
As far as pay is concerned, we are not a huge company (around 70 employees) so may not be able to provide everything that much larger companies have the ability to provide. However, we do believe we pay competitive total compensation with our profit sharing program and great benefits including significant company contributions to healthcare costs and 401(k) matching.
We also have many employees that have gone on to very successful careers after their time with CMB. Our client base is a significant portion of the Fortune 500 so we hope that you would be able to develop good contacts and marketable skills.
