Pros

Having been part of ClearCourse since early 2020 following the acquisition of Felinesoft, I’ve been witness to the journey ClearCourse has been on for nearly 6 years now, both as an acquired employee and as part of the central HR team. ClearCourse has improved significantly over the years, especially when it comes to groupwide communications, both with communicated updates and the company vision, as well as listening to, and acting on, feedback. We’ve had many great businesses join, with really talented and knowledgeable people joining us along the way. Given the array of different businesses within our group, the work is interesting, varied and always evolving, and it’s great to know we’re impacting small business and their customers across the UK and further. Our dedicated HR team are here to support people, to ensure they have the best experience they can whilst working here. My role was created a few years ago to ensure we have a focus on reward and benefits. We’ve created a strong and competitive employee benefits package (PMI, Cashplan, Life, GIP, Perks, Peppy, Birthday, Volunteer, enhanced Parenteral, enhanced Holiday, wellbeing support, hybrid working and more). We’ve become good at celebrating others, with regular recognition spotlights. Given the structure of our business, there are also internal mobility opportunities and we encourage internal promotions.

Cons

My 5 star review is rounded up from 4.5 stars - no company is perfect and we have faced, and still do face, challenges. Many of the challenges I’ve seen are to be as expected given the acquisition nature of our business, for example businesses joining us with very different approaches to pay and processes and having to balance these with ClearCourse’s. The change from being in a small stand-alone business to being part of a wider group isn’t for everyone. There is a lot of change as we learn, grow and evolve at a fast pace. Experiences can differ somewhat depending on what area of the business you are in and teams being based across the UK and abroad. Work is being done here to improve this.

Pros

- Colleagues and their competences - Great opportunity (unfortunately wasted) to develop many products. Mainly competent and professional co-workers. The management team, at the half of my co-period - MESS AS ..#%*~{} Generally gr8 and nice atmosphere (if we talked about teammates). The management staff and their replacement in the middle of my "CC career" is a mistake!!! Whole place was crapped and going to the negative direction.

Cons

- Incompetence of management in the second cooperation period - Lack of time tracking and blaming this obligation on lower-level employees (pathetic, no comment) - Lack of development opportunities in terms of working conditions and salary (mainly during the second period of cooperation).

Pros

Colleagues are generally helpful and respectful.

Cons

Senior/director level staff out of touch and don't understand the businesses they have bought. The membership services estate is in dire need of direction and support.
