Pros
Decent vacation policy if you can find the time to use it. Some incredibly smart and resilient people to work with. Some interesting clients.
Cons
Compensation is below industry standard, titles are given somewhat freely without much consideration for what they actually mean or the responsibility they should carry. Nothing in the organization is clear, from policies to workflows to who to go to for help or advice, the entire company feels as if it's built upon the day-to-day whims of the partners who don't have a clear business offer strategy or even basic operations methodology. While the company professes flat hierarchies, it's clearly a "loudest voice wins" environment which created a large degree of politicking and has driven more than a few to become duplicitous and just plain awful to work with, complete with HR complaints that were never supported at more than a token level. The work is consistently undermined by people who have opinions on everything but no clear or demonstrable skill in said discipline. Unless you're under the wing of the partners, you will likely be made to feel like your ideas and skills are inadequate. The clients never seem truly happy or inspired unless by some miracle these people aren't involved in the process. Any personal/professional growth in the company is possibly only by playing to the egos of certain directors or the partners themselves or by happenstance when someone is laid off and they need to fill that role with a body to act in front of a client. Constant, reactive layoffs with promises to plan for a "new way of operating" but each time, nothing more than another town hall to tell everyone to look for work and work harder.
