Pros

your co workers will be the closest thing to you as you all will "trauma bond" because the company under values all of you.

Cons

Toxic work environment, They will give you more than your required duties of the career you were hired for. Blame you for company mistakes, no job recognition, no raises you can work there for more than a year and practically have to beg for a raise. Management treats employees poorly, due to HR and hire-ups making them do so, in order to keep receiving funding. Family relatives are in supervisor positions and half know their job. You have a co worker who started off as Financial Manager who started dating the director of workforce who is know a director of financial, I guess you have to mess around to be moved up around this place. Otherwise we are considered low valued. We were told that us as employees are not a "priority". One day I was even counting paper checks for our clients on the ground sidewalk while HR did not complete their job and issue them when they needed to be issued and they sat there and watched me. (I had no choice or lose my job)

Pros

Fellow case managers are great (too bad they're all as overworked, burned out, underpaid, and stressed out as you will be)

Cons

Previous reviews noting poor upper management are absolutely correct. Nepotism and cronyism run rampant, and favoritism is also a huge factor. If you're not "in" with Associate Directors and above, then you're viewed as inconsequential and not treated with basic respect or human decency. Caseloads are astronomically high, and management only cares about meeting numbers, not about actually helping youth or adults seeking workforce assistance. Be prepared to do the job of two or even three employees with high expectations and no support (oh, and training is non-existent: you're just expected to hit the ground running]. Staff safety is also not a priority as we have had several unsafe situations flagged by employees across various sites and they are all handled poorly and/or dismissed. This organization is all talk about their mission with no follow-through. There is a high turnover in staff FOR A REASON. The only highlight here are the genuine people in staff, who care tremendously about servicing others. But even that doesn't make up for the organizational disaster. Please prioritize your wellbeing and DO NOT APPLY HERE.
