Pros

A paycheck, if you can sell, commission “opportunities”.

Cons

Got hired for billing, was trained to code new accounts, got no billing training at all. Their programs are old snd they crash daily and you are told to keep handling the call like everything is okay. Parking sucks. They’ll change your shift whenever it suits them so you wont get overtime. Customers are rude. You’ll be told that you’ll get an extra quarter after training and you won't get it. Cox is a horrible company. The place stinks. Carpet hasn’t been vacuumed in years. Headsets are subpar. Shift bids are a lie. The wages are not competetive. Save yourself the ttouble.

Paid on time, provided equipment, decent benefits from day one, nice co-workers

Cons

Sweatshop mentality of the supervisors, threats of demotion/termination for medical leave, random layoffs when calls didn't justify hours, with those same hours shifted to supervisors to keep them active. Unable to print paystubs, had to request everything through a supervisor, and provide copious amounts of private information to have the request honored. Corrosive environment - I left as soon as I got another offer, gave 24 hours notice (and I've never, ever done that before). Unless you're on the verge of homelessness or starvation, avoid at all costs.
