Pros

I genuinely love working for Cosm, which has a great culture and is at the forefront of technology and shared reality entertainment. Cosm is great because of the people... be it someone who worked for their legacy companies, E&S or Spitz, for longer than I've been alive, or someone new in their career at the corporate level, people have a great passion for the mission and what we're building. People are kind, empathetic and come to conversations with the intention of learning, sharing and collaborating, which is my preferred way to work. Cosm is a great place to work for people with families, as I never feel guilty when I need to take my child for a doctor appointment or school events, there's great work-life balance, and where needed have the flexibility to work from home. I also appreciate that the C-suite really embody the company values. They value "never stopping at I don't know" and you'll find C-suite members literally googling something to learn about it from the ground up, along side the team members.

Cons

As Cosm is a growing company, I think they have room to improve on their benefits, especially parental leave. Leave today isn't bad compared to some in the US, but it's no where near leave available at other big tech companies.

Pros

Certain servers can make a lot of money on certain events but it’s extremely inconsistent on both a day to day scale and over the course of the year. Food is okay but employees are limited in what they’re allowed to eat. There’s a lot going on if you like sports and it’s fast paced, but usually disorganized.

Cons

Schedules have never been out more than a few days in advance and hours are constantly changing up until the night before or day of. No one ever knows what’s going on in the building because management doesn’t communicate at all and HR is unresponsive to most issues that happen on the floor. New hires are promised full time but it never happens. Many part time people end up working full time hours but the company refuses to grant benefits. Runners and bussers are not tipped. Fans are disrespectful and tip out is abysmal. No opening or closing sheets, no SOP or procedures. They’ll boast about how advanced their tech is but the POS is horrible. Talk a lot of talk about company culture but I rarely see it in practice. Don’t believe them when they tell you there’s room for career growth, the most you’ll see is busser to server or the like and they’ll make you wait months
