Pros

- Compensation & benefits are on par with other local tech companies - Free catered lunch every day

Cons

- Extremely low quality of employees - few have any prior experience in the Valley culture - the rare talented ones who accidentally ended up here have either left quickly or are actively looking to leave as the economy improves - Incompetent management - virtually none have tech experience or have ever worked outside the old-fashioned CPG industry - literally no clue how to run an innovative high-tech company - most never leave their offices - No innovation - company is just a rehash of an offline idea (newspaper coupons) with no re-imagining of how to transform CPG promotions for a digital world - this is where your career will come to die - Silo organization & no collaboration - you have never worked for a company (esp. in the Valley) with a more hierarchical structure or less cross-dept. collaboration Clueless founders - they had an idea for starting the company 13 years ago and nothing has changed since then - they refuse to leave & won't go public because they fear losing control

Pros

My favorite things so far are the work-life balance, free lunch and snacks, unlimited vacation, treadmill desks, and general positive and friendly attitudes. A lot of fun employee activities here!

Cons

Open work space in combination with the lack of small conference rooms. I also think there is room for improvement in terms of implementing corporate-wide systems/process/tools.

Pros

When I was there I really enjoyed the experience of working within my team. The people who I worked with have since left, but at that time that we all worked together it was a very enjoyable experience. We got a lot of great work done and we were all aligned under the same goals. There was a lot of things happening in the space and the company was growing very fast.

Cons

Teams have become very siloed and there isn't as much collaboration. It's become more of a fiefdom as the company has gotten bigger with top managers fighting to get resources and pass the buck. Too many people being hired to do very niche jobs rather than the wear-many-hats approach that allowed early employees to grow and explore and develop different skillsets. There's not a strong company culture. Steven is not exactly the most charismatic company leader and hasn't really stepped up to create any sort of strongly identifiable sense of culture and camaraderie.
