      Pros

      By observing the leadership of the few facility administrators that I have been lucky enough to watch, I feel that I could have a degree in employee relations. They are open and willing to educate new employees and are not above "getting right in the nitty gritty" when needed. They are the type of administrators that I enjoy working with and for. Believe me, I have worked for enough administrators that had no idea how or what the job entailed and were more inclined to lead from a seated position.

      The online training can be tedious.

      Pros

      Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

      Cons

      Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
