Pros

The staff at Daybreak are dedicated to the mission of providing Miami Valley unhoused youth and young adults with services that promote safety, stability, and well-being. Every day you can come to work and know that you are making a difference in kids' lives.

Cons

We work were our youth live, so we must be prepared for anything at all times.

Pros

Meaningful mission and high-impact work. A great place for those deeply committed to advocacy and the mentorship.

Cons

High Attrition: 13 staff members leaving in less than a year Operational Instability: Sudden changes to benefits and a lack of condensed administrative processes (too many meetings) detract from client care. Wellness & Boundaries: There is a critical lack of training regarding client boundaries, leading to systemic compassion fatigue and burnout. Structural Silos: A lack of collaboration between Case Managers and Case Aides hinders team efficiency. Lack of clinical oversight -- Untrained staff have been made front-line responders to severe mental health crisis
