Pros
I've had the incredible opportunity to work at Daye, and it has truly been a game-changer in my career and personal growth. This company is not just about business; it's about a passionate mission to make a meaningful impact on women's health. From day one, I was welcomed into a team of dedicated individuals who are not only highly skilled but also deeply committed to their work. The leadership at Daye is exceptional, with a clear vision and an unwavering commitment to improving gynaecological healthcare for all women. I've never met a more hard-working person than the founder and I can't quite understand how she always makes time for everyone and everything. What sets Daye apart is its commitment to innovation. We're not afraid to tackle huge, challenging issues, such as the gender health gap and the lack of innovation in period care. It's incredibly inspiring to be part of a company that is pushing boundaries in complex fields. The work environment is nurturing, collaborative, and full of opportunities for personal and professional development. Daye invests in its employees, providing resources for ongoing learning and growth. It's a place where your ideas are not only welcomed but also valued, regardless of your role or experience level. Daye's culture is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a shared sense of purpose. We celebrate each other's successes and support one another during challenges. It's a warm atmosphere and I look forward to coming to work every day. The office is pet-friendly, which also helps. If you're looking for a workplace where you can make a real difference, grow as a professional, and be part of a supportive community, Daye is the place to be. Daye also has a great reputation in the industry and is a solid stepping stone for future professional opportunities.
Cons
While our mission is inspiring and our team is passionate, budgets can be tight and the company does have financial limitations. This means that we often need to be creative in the way we get our work done. It's a place where you'll learn the art of negotiation, as you're encouraged to negotiate every contract or invoice. It can definitely feel daunting knowing that you have to operate on a shoestring budget. This has improved more recently as the company has attracted new grant funding, which makes some of the R&D projects in particular easier to manage.
