Pros

Deltek is a steady company that makes every employee feel like it is their home. This is not a super fast-paced IT company, nor is it a massive IT beast. Deltek fits that middle ground where it is large enough to be exciting but small enough to care and be personal. The number of people who have been at Deltek for 10,15, 20 years is crazy, and that number grows each year as people tend to not leave. Those that do leave are typically sales looking for a faster paced environment. Deltek has amazing work life balance. Deltek really does put people first.

Cons

If you come from a faster paced IT company, then Deltek will seem slow at first- but over time you get used to it, and the pace is refreshing. The pay is in line with the market, but some feel is slightly lower. Personally, whilst the pay may not be in line with a start up, it is in line with other IT companies.. but the work life balance is much better at Deltek.

Salary could be better. Training for some products is non existent and reliance on AI is very high.

Pros

Good culture and supportive coworkers One thing that stands out is that employees repeatedly talk about the people being collaborative and easy to work with. For CSM teams especially, there are comments about low internal drama and strong teamwork.

Cons

Morale dips after layoffs: Common issue in enterprise SaaS. Remaining employees sometimes inherit extra accounts or responsibilities after reductions. Internal communication can get corporate/vague. Employees sometimes mention leadership messaging during reorganizations feels polished but not fully transparent. Career growth uncertainty during restructures: When leadership changes or teams merge, promotions and advancement
