Pros
The company really values work-life balance, and you’re not expected to be online 24/7. Demandbase is always pushing boundaries with AI and data-driven marketing. It’s exciting to work on something that’s actually making an impact. The benefits here are solid—good healthcare, 401(k) match, wellness perks, and plenty of time off to recharge. Remote work is a big plus, and there’s a lot of flexibility in how and when you get your work done.
Cons
Ever since the new leadership took over in marketing, the team has been a complete mess. A handful of people were brought in just because of their connections, and instead of adding value, they’ve only made things worse. They barely do any work, don’t respond to messages, and when they do, it’s either way too late or completely useless. The most frustrating part? Their managers constantly cover for them, making excuse after excuse instead of holding them accountable. And rather than fixing the actual problem, leadership just keeps hiring more people to clean up their mess while they continue to sit back, do nothing, and still get all the credit. Meanwhile, everyone else is left scrambling to pick up the slack, fix their mistakes, and deal with the chaos they create. It’s beyond frustrating to see people who contribute nothing get rewarded while the ones actually doing the work are overworked and overlooked. And speaking up? Not an option. Managers won’t back their teams because they’re too scared of going against leadership’s favorites, and HR is no help either. If you try to raise concerns, you’re either ignored or subtly warned to just drop it unless you want to risk your own job. The whole situation is exhausting. There’s one set of rules for the leadership’s inner circle, where they can get away with anything, and another for the rest of the team, who are expected to clean up their mess and stay quiet. It’s turned what could have been a great work environment into a toxic, demoralizing place where hard work doesn’t matter, accountability doesn’t exist, and everyone is just trying to get through the day.
