Pros

Some remote work available. Good health insurance

Cons

Training is TERRIBLE. The lack of support from higher ups is astounding. I was hired in with a large group, and 6 months later, almost all of the people were gone because of how badly this company treats its employees. None of their systems work. No one can ever give you a straight answer. Working here completely ruined my mental health. They have “listening sessions” to hear your concerns, then just gaslight you the whole time. Do NOT work here

Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback – we truly value it. We understand that you have felt unsupported by our leadership and dissatisfied with our training and operational systems as well as with leadership. We are disappointed to hear your feedback about your onboarding experience as we have invested a lot into our new employee training program, and it often receives very positive feedback from employees. Recent months have been challenging operationally (including the implementation of multiple systems) due to circumstances outside our agency’s control, which our state partners remarked on in this open letter to the community: https://www.community.dpcolo.org/s/HCPF-Statement-on-CCM-Impact-for-CMAs-to-Send-to-Members.pdf. While we know we are not likely to shift your viewpoint here in this response, we want to reiterate that we highly value our employees and their contributions. We strive to create a work environment that honors their time, commitment, and expertise while providing opportunities that align with their skills. We recognize that your time with us did not meet these expectations, and we will use your feedback to improve the employee experience. Once again, thank you for sharing, and we wish you success in your future positions.

Pros

4 day work week Generous PTO Family Friendly Remote work options Competent and responsive leadership This is my 3rd time working with DP. It is experiencing many organizational changes but I appreciate that the leadership team remains calm and collected even under immense change, chaos, and stress. Many of the stressors are attributed to state influence. I can’t imagine a better place to work after spending multiple years in a very toxic and dangerous work environment. This organization likes to highlight all the good work they do for individuals with disabilities but the leadership truly changes lives for employees as well. If you surround yourself with the people that want to improve and focus on the positive you will love working here.

Cons

There are not many cons to working here. You might not get paid as much as you would like but there are a lot of opportunities to advance. There are disgruntled employees like in every work place and it can be very toxic when they are given a platform to share (complain). Be prepared to experience changes and build resiliency. If you are able to adapt and view challenges as learning opportunities then you will do well.

We truly appreciate your sharing; we welcome staff to share feedback from all employment experiences. We're glad you have enjoyed your time with our organization and are grateful for your support through various systems changes. DP is proud of our open-door policy and willingness to lean into difficult conversations. This period has been particularly challenging for some of our teams, and we aim to continue finding a balance by encouraging staff to share feedback openly while ensuring it is constructive and productive. Our commitment to our DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility) initiatives is geared toward making our workplace more inclusive and welcoming to everyone, including you. We're sorry that your experience did not meet that standard. We believe our DEIA efforts create a stronger and more cohesive organization, making our central work more efficient and collaborative. We invest significant resources in our new employee training program and value your input. Thank you again; your feedback will be utilized to improve the overall employee experience!
