Pros

You will make more here than someone who risks their own life to help others.....also the food is good, banquets is probably the most fun department to work.

Cons

All this company cares about is money, if you are providing the perfect customer experience & corporate comes in and sees that, they will cut hours because there is nothing else that needs fixing. They will rob guests & charge $3 for a tiny bit of yogurt, $8 for 2 scrambled eggs, and make you work holidays away from your family because hotels don't have holidays off. If you work early morning shifts before guests even wake up for breakfast, the manager on duty will micro-manage you and give you a write up for putting your freezing hands (normally the doors are wide open at 6 am for possible early rising guests) in your apron pocket for some warmth. It is a money hungry company that says they are all about the guest, that is true but they are also NOT about the employee...

Pros

Benefits and employee meals were great. My team and people I worked with was the reason I stayed.

Cons

Leadership doesn't value or support their managers. Just be prepared to receive little support from corporate and a company as a whole. They don't want operations managers to succeed and rather run through options creating instability for their employees. Expectations constantly change. Favortism runs through departments that starts from the top (GM). Worst experience of my life was deciding to become a manager. Also as a operations manager they don't care about work life balance or if your working over 10 hours. Get use to long hours in operations with no support or help.
