Pros

Part of Hilton Worldwide chain, staff discounts, option of transferring to other hotels worldwide, lots of diversity, good bonus structure. Hilton University offers many good courses to train. DoubleTree by Hilton is renewing their product in Europe and is a special brand to work for.

Cons

Low salaries, job titles vs responsibilities do not match other hotel chains, staff involvement with special programs is often times pushed too hard onto employees, DoubleTree stands apart from Hilton as a brand and as such, management operates very different and this can cause serious conflict between teams

Pros

Benefits and employee meals were great. My team and people I worked with was the reason I stayed.

Cons

Leadership doesn't value or support their managers. Just be prepared to receive little support from corporate and a company as a whole. They don't want operations managers to succeed and rather run through options creating instability for their employees. Expectations constantly change. Favortism runs through departments that starts from the top (GM). Worst experience of my life was deciding to become a manager. Also as a operations manager they don't care about work life balance or if your working over 10 hours. Get use to long hours in operations with no support or help.
