Pros
-Depending on who you are, decent pay -Nice office perks, kitchen stocked with snacks and drinks, casual workplace -Sometimes interesting work -Fun happy hours and other social events -Good benefits for the most part, except no paternity (or maternity) leave. I know paternity isn't AS common, but they offer nothing for either gender. -Unlimited PTO
Cons
-Huge pay discrepancies. You will find that someone doing the same job is making less than half of what their colleague is making. If management doesn't think we're aware of this, they're very wrong. -A President/COO (whatever you want to call him) that comes in at random times and basically blows up your projects. Very difficult to work with and always has to be the smartest/most right in the room. -Huge favoritism among employees. This is a small company so people tend to be close to one another, but the CEO and COO (who are married) kind of pick a few favorites and those people get extra attention and invites to after hours events that others don't. -In general, not a great work environment. People feel run down and I know of many people who are looking for jobs in other places on the side. -Not a lot of room for growth. -Very big into spot bonuses rather than raises.
