Pros
Excellent pay and benefits. All employees are considered salaried meaning you get a guaranteed 40 hr. minimum paycheck (with a possibility of overtime).
Cons
Not a climate controlled production area. Summer temps in some parts of the building can reach 100 degrees. In the last 20 months the work force has dropped from about 320 to about 150 due to reduced customer demand but in 2014, I worked from Easter to Independence Day with one scheduled day off due to demand that exceeded our ability to produce at a 24/7 schedule so workloads can have wild swings. Lack of communication/ inconsistent communication from management was a frequent frustration-especially if you didn't work first shift and no one above supervisor level management was on site.
