Pros
Can achieve a decent salary you if you work there a long time (compared to similar jobs elsewhere) but there have been many years where there have not been any rises or bonuses.
Cons
The emphasis seems to be purely about reports and figures and not about doing a proper job that enables those reports to be raised and figures to achieved. Absolutely everything has to be archived and recorded which means that you cannot focus on the important things that need to be done for customer satisfaction. Pressure is constant as there is never enough time or people to do those important jobs properly. They also move people around to different departments or positions regardless of whether that person wants to move or is qualified to do the job. Because of all of the above there is little job satisfaction and no job security any longer as the company seeks to cut costs by moving jobs and production abroad, closing down departments, amalgamating departments of different divisions or closing down offices, factories and warehouses. Middle-management are only there to service their own personal ambitions and many have little or no experience of front-line working. They spend most of their time in pointless, non-productive meetings or elongated conference calls.
