Pros
Despite what has been said, there are some good sides to working at EA. One of the biggest advantages in my opinion is the formal career development plan and the opportunities to learn from EAU. Managers sometimes proactively enrolled me in classes that would help me grow. There are also lots of perks on the campus, such as a fully featured, fully free gym, a great cafeteria, a starbucks on site, oil changing on site, haircut on site, dental on site, etc. Some of the people are also very senior and it helps to have people with lots of experience to learn from.
Cons
At the time I was working there, there were two main issues: 1. The quality of the titles. Ship dates and numbers mattered much more than anything else. I understand that as a public company, the bottomline is what matters the most in the short term, but in order to keep your company healthy in the longer run you need to work on your reputation in the market. 2. As a large corporation there is a lot of politics that will get in the way of creativity. Last I heard, they are working on flattening the organization a little bit, though.
