Pros

* flexible remoting options * work life balance (a lot better than before) * company culture (at least on my Team it was friendly)

Cons

* career progression is bad, promotion are not based on merit but how hard your manager fights for it * Top heavy teams. Some teams will have 4 seniors on a team of 6 to 10, no clear sense of direction/ or who is in charge. Promotions also don't happen on top heavy teams due to team balance.

Pros

There’s sometimes a stigma that comes with working at EA but internally the company is well managed and employs some of the best people. Individuals that work here are extraordinarily passionate about what they do and very well qualified. Human Resources and managers are down to earth and support employees well. Compensation for work is fair and large scale layoffs have been infrequent during my time

Cons

The cultural stigma that is associated with the company due to previous and certain c-suite decisions. Additionally, the development cycles to release titles year over year can become difficult to manage with tech debt produced from previous cycles.

Pros

A lot of good and smart people that are able to create good work together.

Cons

Restructuring every year, nepotism, no clear path for career progression at all, senior leadership isn’t communicating clearly, acquisition communication has been non-existent, layoffs are a constant factor and fear, unclear why some people get promoted and many high performers do not
