Pros

Decent projects for interns. Some managers better than others but generally you apply for and are accepted to specific projects. Interesting projects and good opportunity to network within Emory Healthcare.

Cons

Interns who are not specifically in MPH/MHA/Health fields are not recruited as heavily thus the intern cohort is not as diverse in background as it should be. Pay is low, especially for students with very specific tech skills (i.e. software development, analytics).

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
