Too much work and knowledge is expected to be handled or resolved through the CSMs with sparse or very difficult to locate and discern resources. The systems are almost always down in some way. Since the acquisitions of pru and mass mutual, moving between roles has become extremely difficult if not impossible to move outside of your department. Promotions are far and few between and HR is extremely stingey with annual raises, despite any tenure you may have with the company. Be prepared to figure a lot of things out on your own, due to too many departments either not having knowledge or unwilling to give guidance. Also be prepared to learn a minimum of 5 new software systems, however it will likely be closer to 8 programs. At least 2 entirely proprietary so no way to get experience without actually working at empower. Also expect to be given the run around when trying to move departments or roles, who you know will be very important for any kind of job movement.
